Xbox Live / DVD Problem - Dirty Disc?

Anyone has a problem with the "dirty disc - no read error" when they're playing a game online on either PS2 or Xbox? I have returned two copies of "NBA Live 2005" for the Xbox because it crashed twice. I am thinking that it might be my xbox and need to get a new one (or the lens cleaned).

Anyone with a solution or similar problem?
 
is the clock set up properly?
go into the MS dash and set the time/date up.
for ms dash, turn your xbox on without any disc inside.
