Can two players with two gold accounts play any of the multiplayer maps on Halo 3? As in with other people from all over. Edit. I missed the most important point. Can the above be done on the same xbox?

yes, when you enter the multiplayer menu, invite your friend to your game, once they arrive, start matchmaking
