Xbox lagging on a fast connection

I am at college trying to take my xbox online and i keep getting horrible lag, basically unplayable. I realize that this probably isnt the best forum for talking about an xbox, but the problem is probably has something to do w/ my schools network. They run cisco clean access here and i have tried both bridging the connection through my pc and direct connect into the wall. Any ideas?
 
Ask your network admins why they think it could be happening. Although I'm willing to bet that they are prioritizing traffic and Xbox Live/Online is placed in a bulk category.
