XBOX Halo

Awesome Game..............I've made it off the ship but got blasted crossing the bridge on the planet. I can see getting hooked on this game......

i didnt think it came out yet..... i remember years back when Bungie released their idea about a game called..... well, HALO. I was very excited back then, specially that a small company like Bungie is making such a cool and diffrent game (i think before the were just making the Myth series I and II). anyhow, after i went on their page and saw the announcment that Microsoft bought Bungie, i lost my intrest in the whole thing..... hate to see talent like that go wasted and "merged" and blended with the norm - like microsoft. "...those bastards finally did it!"

Is the game on PC yet, or just XBOX?

Just XBOX & I must say the game is awesome.

Im about half way through it, definately a contender for game of the year.

I believe theres rumors a pc version will be available sometime, I havent been following up on those since Im already playing the game.

I don't know if it is for the PC yet. I am a die hard PC guy but this game for XBOX has my attention. I never got into playstation,nintendo or the like but this is impressive.

well originally it was suppose to be a PC game... just because microsoft bought out bungie and everything that they owned, seen the game, and decided to have it as XBOX exclussive. - for a while, i think (and hope).

Yeah, Microsoft really shafted us pc gamers on this title.

I also read somewhere that alot of the game was changed to cater toward console gaming playstyle, so we may never see Halo as it was originally concieved for the pc.

Its a great game, but make no mistake, Id rather be playing it with a keyboard & mouse on my pc.

But I will give credit where its due, I actually did adapt to the control scheme much easier than I expected, but Im still not as pin point accurate as I would be with a mouse.

And the game is terrific as it is, just cant help but wonder what was supposed to be different..

same thing here. I actually found my self doing jump strafes and shooting at the same time, adjusting my aim in the air. That's no biggie w/a mouse and kb, of course, but I would never imagine that I could become that good with a controller!

So far, I'm on level 6 out of 10 (I think), trying to find Captain Keyes.

PC FPS games are definitely different from console ones. If you could play X-Box Halo w/ a mouse and keyboard with no modifications, it would be a lot easier, because of how fast (or I guess quick) you could aim and move.

Halo will be out for PC in 1 year, or at least thats the rumor going around

I'd put it at 6 months tops. A year will be too long to stay current. It will probably take them 3 months to straighten out the multiplayer, and I'm betting the PC version will be out shortly after that.

ya i agree with richleader. After i year everyone will loose intrest in HALO... I mean it took them damn long to come up with it.... hopefully its not like diablo 2...... big hipe, not such good results. Dont get me wrong, both games are awesome, but how long did we have to wait for D2? Too Long.
A year from now HALO will be overshadowed by other games.... DOOM 3? ...... plus i give it couple of months to hit the PC market.

No, i doubt PC Halo would be overshadowed by Doom3, it's more likely that RTCW and maybe Duke Nukem (hell, if this ever comes out) will take the spotlight from Halo.
