Since new xbox 360 games are quite expensive for my 360, I'm looking for best xbox games that I missed on original xbox. Games must be compatible for xbox 360.

How about Xbox 360 games that have been out a while and are cheap to buy used? What 360 games do you have? Do you have Rainbow Six: Vegas?

I don't have Rainbow Six: Vegas, how much can I pick that one up for? What other cheap and used xbox 360 games should I try?

I only have COD4; H3; Forza 2

You could probably get Rainbox Six: Vegas used for ~$30 at Gamestop/EB Games. It's unfortunate that you just missed their buy 2 get 1 free sale on used games.

Crackdown isn't too expensive used.

GRAW is a pretty well-liked shooter (I didn't care much for it in the little bit I played myself), it's pretty cheap.

I think Battlestations: Midway is a fantastic game. I think they did it a disservice by making the demo multiplayer only and not giving much information about how to play. I had no idea what I was doing, but I bought it and loved the single player mode. I hope they make more games like it.

PGR 3 is really cheap since PGR 4 is out. It's a good arcade racing game.

Call of Duty 2 is cheap

Saints Row is great and cheap

The Godfather is pretty good and cheap

And if you like sports games at all, you can't go wrong buying a 1-2 year old sports game.

If you're willing to try something quite unique, Viva Pinata is still on my top 5 list for Xbox 360 game experiences. It can regularly be had for <$20 and usually closer to $15. Circuit City just had it for $13 for an entire week.

Other than that, I'd recommend just going to gamerankings.com or metacritic. Start from the top of the list and work your way down, looking up each title on pricegrabber.com or your favorite store's website.

CheapAssGamer.com has been great to me, as well.

I've recently been thinking the same thing. I can't afford to be buying $60 games all the time so I hit up the old games that I never played (I didn't get my 360 until a year after release). I've found Kameo to be well worth the $20 I paid for it. Viva Pinata was well worth the $14 I got it for at CC this past week (okay so I haven't played it much). I also picked up GRAW and R6:Vegas for $30 this past week (used - combined price off of craigslist).

As far as the xbox goes. Morrowind is a sure bet if you like RPGs. Ninja Gaiden Black, Halo 1/2 if you haven't played the series, are also sure bets for the price...

I would snoop around www.gamerankings.com and www.cheapassgamer.com as others have recommended... good resources!

Get Morrowind for the PC, not the xbox. Ninja Gaiden Black is arguably the best Ninja Gaiden remake, and I'm sure you already knew about Halo 1/2. Also, the KotOR games are great, although the first is far better than the second. Fable was a decent game, though short and shallow. Prince of Persia, and perhaps it's sequels, are also decent games. Those are all the games I purchased for my xbox *shrug*

Also, I have no clue about xbox 360 compatibility.

I've been going through the 360 games that have been out for a while. I picked up Call of Duty 2 for $15 at my local Gamestop. Great game. I have a couple more on my list that I want to get before I splurge on a newer game. I bought Halo 3 and BioShock at launch and got COD4 for Christmas, so there's not much out there that's a "must have" for me at the moment, although I might splurge on the new Burnout when it comes out.

Games that have been out for a while and should be cheap used:

Crackdown
Lost Planet
CoD 2
Viva Pinata
Dead Rising

360: I was at Wal-Mart last night and they had Call of Duty 3, Prey, Viva Pinata and a few other titles for 19.99 each....I think all of these are worth the cash. I'd avoid Gamestop/EBGames for the used popular games (that are older) b/c you can usually buy them cheaper brand-new.

Original: Definitely go for Halo1/2 if you've never been on those (Halo 1 is 9.99 at BestBuy and it upscales to HD if you have the TV for it), Ninja Gaiden just pissed me off so if you want to break a controller or two go for that as well.

Here's my list:

* Halo 1 and 2
* Ninja Gaiden Black
* Jade Empire
* KoTOR 1 and 2
* Mercenaries
* Full Spectrum Warrior (plus Ten Hammers)
* Dead or Alive Ultimate (if you like DoA)
* Soul Calibur 2

But, as others have said, you can get some older games pretty cheaply at this point, and some of those are definitely worth playing. IMHO, Dead Rising and Crackdown are the best of the bunch.

Definitely DEFINITELY Ninja Gaiden Black

Also

Try very very hard to find Deathrow. It's pretty old even for a Xbox game, sort of unknown, but got good reviews, and more importantly is awesome.

I also enjoyed Mercenaries a lot. Halo 1/2 are okay. I liked the Splinter Cell games as well as the Prince of Persia games. The sports games were good too and should be very cheap.

Pretty much all of those that I listed are backwards compatible. I've always found the 360 BC list to be quite good, it certainly contains all but one or two Xbox games that I would want to be BC. Everyone seems to say it is crap, but honestly almost all of the better and popular games are compatible.

I got my 360 a few weeks ago and so far I have Forza/Marvel, Virtua Tennis 3, College Basketball 2k7, Viva Pinata, and COD4. Next I am getting RS: Vegas.
