XBOX custom audio tracks

How do I get them on there ? Last I heard was CDRW only (no CDRs) and of course original audio CDs. Do they have to be in CDA/WAV format or can they be MP3s ? I last tried in Nov2001, so I forget / not up to date.

Hmm... what about DVDRs ? I can offload a whole $#!Tload if it'll take it as WAV/CDA... anyone ever try ?

Jeezus... it's copying over to the XBOX HDD right now... hardly 60% done and I started 1.5 hours ago. It says not to turn it off or remove the disc. I'm stuck babysitting it till it's done. Friggin 3am approaching...

EDIT>>> And just as I finish posting this... it errors and says "Unable to read from disc. Please check if dirty or damaged". GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it.

- 17 songs (I don't know filesize - maybe was 4MB per MP3 before burn). Even so, a few hundred MB shouldn't take that long to copy over to the HDD even with the XBOX DVD-ROM. :|

Iono what to say then... Everythign is so much better once its modded. I personally stream everything off my computer. No copying needed. Perhaps you have teh bad dvd-rom that is having trouble reading your discs?

I'd love to mod it but afraid to tinker with a $300 (yeah, that's how much it cost me) machine. Besides, that removes XBOX live capability too, I hear.

Yea, but then thats what a switch is for. 🙂 You turn it on and off at will.

Yea, I was scared to mess with mine too, but with any kind of mechanical abilities at all and a little research, the rewards are worth it. Hell, if you're in Sacramento, I'll help you do it.
