Xbox Controller Gaming Has Developers Psyched About Surface

Doesn't PS3 + Android already work? Pretty sure games like GTA3 already support it.

Works through bluetooth and native USB support for tablets that have USB.

I've said it again and again, if Apple released a standard bluetooth controller for the iPad then big time dev companies would jump on board and start offering their console only games on iOS. And as quick as tablets have been jumping in performance (think five generations of an iPad compared to the lifespan of a single console), they would eat into the console gaming market pretty easily.

I'm assuming the article is about the RT version of Windows 8, cause the x86 version is an actual computer.

RT is for computers with ARM processors, x86 version is for computers with x86 processors. Surface will have both ARM and x86 versions.
 
I am hoping that this will bring about native gamepad support in more games. It can be quite annoying having to use 3rd party software just to be able to use my gamepad.
