Xbox 360 + Xbox = Halo LAN

Here is the problem:

My cousin and his friends have xbox 1's. They do not have the map pack update nor the melee and grenades update. I want to bring my 360 to their LANs and use my 360. I can go on live with that, so I have the maps and the updates. Can I host the LAN and have them connect to me? And if I do that, will they have the update? If this does not work, can I recover my gamertag on each of their xbox 1's and download the updates and then recover it back to my hard drive? Is there a limit to how many times you can recover a gamertag? Help please.

That wouldn't exactly be fair... keyboard and mouse > gamepad for FPS

His comment probably stems from the console/pc gaming rilvalry.

It was intended to show that FPS are meant for PC's with mice and keyboard because of the better control it offers.

The game is Halo 2. And does the update CD for the maps include the melee and grenades update?

i'm not positive, but i'm pretty sure it will work, it will just revert to the 1.0 settings (pre melee updates) and you won't be able to play the new maps.

I think there were plans for xbox360 halo 2 versus pc halo 2, but it was cancelled.

The reason I am asking is because my cousins do not have xbox live. So they cannot go on like I did for my 360 and download all the updates. What update is on the map pack disc is it version 1.1? Is there another way of doing this?

IIRC the entire map pack (they gradually made it free) is free now, right?

If I remember correctly if you've already converted your gamertag onto the 360, you can't convert it back to the original Xbox, so I don't think you'll be able to update that way.
