It takes up the only USB port there is which is going to be a pain because of rockband mic.

There are two USB ports on the front of the console to the right of the power button (behind a door).

DOH! Thanks, feel like an idiot. Her's is a launch 360 but I'm pretty sure it's got that little door/ports.

ALSO - found this a little weird. It will NOT let you use the wireless adapter if you even have a ethernet cable plugged in, even if it doesn't have link. You have to unplug any ethernet cable or the dashboard will bark at you.

My friend did the same thing. He had the XBox turned sideways to access both the DVD drive and the back USB port, swapping between the wireless adapter and Rock Band USB hub.

how is yours working out for ya spidey? I love mine, infact I seem to have a better connection then I did with my 50' of cable... not sure if thats possible. I haven't dropped a connection or anything, and no problems.

I've always been curious about how many people actually put down up to $100 for these. We know only half of all 360s are on Live, but I wonder how many of those are using these. They're half the price of the Arcade 360 itself!

I'll stick with my cat5 cable over to the TV myself. $100 buys a lot of cable.

EDIT: And maybe more interestingly, if the 360 had wireless built in like the wii, would maybe 75% of 360s be using Live? How much digital downloads/dlc/etc money is microsoft missing from that? Or just sell the wireless adapters cheap to those who want them and hope they buy the loads of mostly junk downloadable stuff on Live.

(I'm a 360 owner myself)

No complaints. I've got a couple Cisco 1252 802.11n access points I've been meaning to hook up so I can tell what data rates the adapter is connecting at.

50 foot patch cable can cause problems two ways - if it's homemade that's likely the cause of poor performance. If it's indeed a patch cable with stranded cable then that's a problem because the cable is out of spec as only 10 meters of stranded cable is allowed.

I use it and it works flawlessly. My unit is about as far from the router as physically possible in my home, and separated by one floor, and there's only a slight degradation of the signal.

No complaints.
