You need a cheap filler to get free shipping, minimum $25.

This is basically a w/l receiver for those already have xb 360 w/l controllers like myself.

It's time to rid of k/b wsad and mouse.

64 bit driver

That is pretty cool. Now if only we could get an adaptor to use a keyboard and mouse with an Xbox360.😀

A USB one?.... [o.0]

I saw a review for one about a month ago. they said the only downside was that you could not use the head-set with it but I'm sure future versions will have it.

DOH ... damn stat list said that you could use the headset ... just gave the headset and adapter as a gift.

Nice. I use a wired xbox360 controller on the PC, it makes for a fantastic game pad for PC.

2nd.
But it's going to change as soon as I can get it shipped from Amazon then I'll be totally wireless. 🙂
Playing sport PC games such as NHL07, Madden07, or even FIFA07. Nothing beats these controllers.

Man, I hope the Wireless controller I bought from Amazon works with the receiver for Windows. I ordered both the same day last week and received the receiver already, now waiting for the 360 w/l controller.

I noticed there is the "Wireless for Windows 360" controller as well as the current wireless 360 controller. I have read these are the same exact controllers just different branding, so they will be recognized by either platform. I hope thats the case.

Playing Madden 2007 with a mouse and keyboard is impossible. I still beat the computer in an exhibition game with me using the San Diego Chargers versus the Denver Borncos.

Only difference is a $5 MSRP markup for the driver disc included in the box. Same one you can download from MS anytime for free.

Has any one been able to get the w/l receiver to work with your 360 w/l controller.
I have the driver installed/reboot.
Then turned on the controller, all happening is the all four quadrant lights coming on and blinking continuously.
Device mgr sees the w/l receiver but no 360 w/l controller.

Recently bought one of these for my 5-year-old who loves to play Lego Star Wars II on the PC. Bought the receiver from the Amazon deal for $16.99, and two of the wireless controllers from Circuit City when they were on sale for $39.99. The wireless receiver and the wireless xbox 360 controllers work like a charm. Now, we're able to play 2-player simultaneously with each one of us using our own separate wireless controller.

As far as the installation, are you sure you loaded the software/drivers before you turned on the wireless receiver and controller?

You have to press (and hold the button long enough) on the wireless receiver so that its green light starts blinking. Then, turn on the wireless controller and press the small button on the front of the controller (ie, the "side" of the controller with the trigger buttons). The green light on the controller should start cycling around the "X-box" button until the controller links with the wireless receiver.

The wireless receiver/controller has been a big hit thus far with my son. If anyone is on the fence in deciding whether or not to buy one of these, I highly recommend them. 🙂

I have done just that.
I could have either a bad controller or receiver.

Yes, a single wireless gaming receiver will work with up to four wireless controllers.

I've been using mine for a week now, using it with a 360 w/l controller (of course)
The Goods: good for fps type, best for sport like Madden 07 etc.
The Bads: I've been experienced intermittent freezes come and go for a few seconds then go away then may be fine for the rest of the game, not sure what's the heck is going on?
Any one?

That's weird. My 5-year-old & I have 2 controllers that we use simultaneously with the wireless gaming receiver and haven't experienced any lock-ups or freezes.

My first thought would be that you're probably experiencing interference from another wireless device nearby. However, we have our XBox 360 wireless gaming receiver located immediately adjacent to a 2.4 GHz wireless phone as well as a wireless keyboard and mouse, and we haven't had any problems.

Maybe it is a problem specific to the games themselves? We've only used the wireless controllers to play Lego Star Wars and Lego Star Wars II.

Also, did you make sure to calibrate the controllers through the "Game Controllers" utility in Windows Control Panel?

Give me keyboard and logitech wired mouse on pc any day. For racing/flying games I have a 12 button logitech joystick that blows the little controller thumb stick away and gives me ultimate precission in turns.

I have absolutely no idea why you would want to pay 20 bucks for something which will allow you to greatly inconvinience yourself while playing PC Games. The only thing w/l controller would be good for is a sports game like madden. But then, you would have to be an idiot to play such a game on your small pc monitor anyway while your xbox 360 and your big screen tv is collecting dust.

Besides, wireless just isn't that good. We used to play mario party 7 I think, on gamecube and one of the controllers was a nintendo wireless wavebird controller. Well in minigames that required a lot of button mashing and joystick movement whoever had to use wireless controller never came in first. People would generally try to get their hands on one of the wired controllers.

Nothing against xbox or anything, I like burnout games and stuff on my 42" plasma. But I just don't see any reason to pay to be able to cripple youself like that on pc. And the games that would benefit from this controller, I play on xbox and my 42" screen to begin with.
