I would never pay $100 for that...it's such a ripoff. As easy as it is, I'd never support Microsoft trying to rip me off like that. It's completely ridiculous.
However, if I could find a used one for much cheaper, that I'd consider.
I got so frustrated, I bought the (MS) adapter, and I'm not even LOOKING at the 360 until tomorrow.
That's what I did, and it works great. Last I checked, though, DD-WRT doesn't support WPA2 in bridging mode. I could never get it to work and I saw something on their forums about it when I researched it after I tried. It's been nearly a year since I set mine up. Have they added WPA2 support in bridging mode?Originally posted by: sourceninja
The MS usb device can not do WPA2, that was a deal breaker for me. I ended up buying a bridge and hooking that up via ethernet and configuring it to use wpa2.
If I had to do it over again, Id buy a WRT54GL, flash dd-wrt on it and set it up to be the bridge and save 50 bucks.
Are you using WPA2 by chance?Originally posted by: MrChad
I just bought a basic Linksys WRT54G router for about $50, installed DD-WRT firmware on it, and set it up as a wireless access point. It works great and gives me multiple ethernet connections for both my 360 and my TiVo HD.

It's ridiculous how Microsoft has still yet to bundle wireless with their console. They are trying to Sony us with accessories that should be standard on all systems.
In this regard the PS3 > Xbox360.
