What kind of USB adapter will work with the 360? I want to buy one but do not want to spend $100 on the one designed for it. Will anykind work? I am talking about the pen drive types especially. Help.

Thanks.

Yes, this what I did. It was the cheaper way to go, but that might have changed.

Can you explain to me what I have to do with said wireless bridge? I don't understand the point of them.

The bridge serves the same purpose as the USB adapter, except you would plug the ethernet port of your 360 into it, and it would give the 360 an ip address.

Here's a review of the Linksys WET54G
That you can get for $70 at Buy.com.

That's about $30 cheaper than the 360 USB adapter. Good luck trying to get a 802.11g adapter for much less, and wouldn't go with anything slower. I got my Netgear WGA111 for $50 something, when Buy.com had it on sale. Waiting for a sale might be your only option, but take could take a while.

If you're just using it for gaming then B is fine. I have an old D-Link Bridge that's only capable of B and it works fine for gaming. No lag at all on my end. But if you're planning on streaming video or something go faster.

You've used it with the 360? How far is it from your wireless router?

I do use it with my 360. It's about 30 feet away going thru one wall.
