I just downloaded and installed PAC Man Championship Edition DX on my M8S Android set top box. I plugged in my Thrustmaster GPX Lightback (Xbox 360 wired controller), and all I get is a blinking circle around the X (Xbox symbol) in the center of the wired controller.
I tested the controller, and it is working on two PC's on various steam games. However, my son really wanted to play the pac-man game on the M8S, and I thought that Xbox 360 controllers were plug and play when talking about Android set top boxes. I've read a few reviews that said that the CE DX version of the game on Android works with 360 controllers.
I've already tried changing it over to the other USB port, but that makes no difference. Since I know that the controller itself works, and that the game I'm trying to use with it works with Xbox 360 controllers, I'm guessing this may be some sort of Android thing.
While I WAS able to sort of control Pac-Man in the game with my mouse, I really can't see myself trying to do that for anything more than testing purposes - not very fun. When I bought this thing, I was really hoping to use the Xbox 360 wired controller to play some old games on an emulator - Dig Dug, Ms. Pac-Man, Defender, 1942, Ghosts 'n Goblins, etc.
Anyone know of any steps to try to get a known working controller to work with an Android set top box?
