xbox 360/ Windows Media Center

Hey Guys,

One of my reason as to why I got my xbox was that I'd be able to take my movies and shows that I have on my PC and watch them on the xbox. It turns out that you can only do this is you have windows media center... Is there some kind of way where I can watch my shows/movies from XP pro to the xbox? Or am I just going to have to go to new egg and buy Media Center for $130? Is it worth it? I've spent all this money so far... I was just wanting to know how the movie playing works... Espical if you have movies or shows that use codec decorders to play...will these still play on xbox too?

wma = audio? you mean WMV right?

i suggest getting a copy of media center, it is well worth it if you use the tv recording function (you need a couple tv tuners to get the most out of it, HDTV recording is also a nice function if you can find some decent HDTV cards, and have good reception with some OTA channels)

if you dont intend to record TV it might not be worth it, in that case burning DVD's might be the best solution

now what are TV cards? and how do they work? Do I have to hook the cable up to my PC computer? Or what more information do you recommend or what card should I get...since I know have a HDTV?

I have MCE2005 and a USB TV tuner that works with it - I'd be curious to hear how well the 360 works with all of that (might make me go out and buy a 360).
