xbox 360 w/ lcd

i want to buy a lcd monitor for a xbox 360, i know i have to buy the vga cables, i'm thinking to get a 19-22" range monitor, but which monitor should i get? or any monitor would do?

Any monitor will do the job. If you're looking for something with a little more screen space and at an affordable price I would go for a 22'' model. Like the Acer AL2216 or the Dell E228WFP. People will argue that they are crap and blah blah cause they are TN panels, but they honestly look awesome when you hook-up your Xbox 360 to them.

Currently running my Xbox 360 on a Dell FP2001 which is really a great monitor, I highly recommend Dell monitors for price/performance. I am looking to upgrade into a Dell 2407WFP which is a 24" monitor that is capable of supporting full HD @1080p. The only drawback is that the aspect ratio on the monitor is 16:10 instead of 16:9, which gives it a resolution of 1920x1200 instead of 1920x1080 so the picture will be slightly scaled.
If your not in a big hurry wait for a deal from a deal website like fatwallet or gotapex as Dell does offer quite a few coupons from time to time.

There should be a setting on the 2407 which allows you to disable the scaling so you get the black bars across the top and bottom. I use it when I'm watching HDTV on my 2405 and it looks great. :beer:

ok i was planning to get a viewsonic VA1912wb, is that good enough? doenst the xbox 360 only support certain resolutions? wont the resolutions look funny on the monitor?

also what would i do about audio ?

I have that monitor it is nice but if I had it to do over I would have tried and waited. I regret getting it from time to time and wish I had waited and saved for a bigger one. Right now I am looking into getting a 22" to get ready for when 360 drops in price. Its not a bad monitor to play games on sometimes but if I played games often and was planning on hooking a 360 to it I really would suggest nothing less than a 20.1".

But if you think the 19" wide will be enough it might be.
