Xbox 360 Video Cable Comparison

Very good article over at Gamespot comparing the image quality of various cables. The 480p/720p comparison is like night and day. If you're buying an Xbox 360 but don't have a 720p capable HDTV, you'd probably be better off getting a VGA cable, cause 480p looks ugly as hell.

The mouse over for the 480p/720p comparison isn't working for me.

Also, they should've done it with in game graphics and not a menu screen.

I thought it was broken for a while too. The other ones loaded so quickly.

I thought it was broken for a while too. The other ones loaded so quickly.

Yeah, I guess because maybe they're higher res or something. Then again, Gamespot's site sucks and takes forever to load anything.

On a side note, I finally picked up some R15s to get a complete 5.1. Now I just hope that I can get my laptop sold tomorrow and can snag an X360 monday night.

Yeah, I can just see it. Some grandma buys their grankid an X360 to play at their house but they only have an old TV with only R/F input and then the kid goes on a forum saying how the X360's graphics sucks compared to the PS3 he has at home.

Not officially, you have to buy a third party adapter. I don't know why anybody would be buying a $400 console if they don't even have a TV with composite inputs though. And yeah, I probably should've mentioned it takes forever for the mouseover to work, just hold it there and it'll load.
