Xbox 360 VGA cable

so i recently got The xbox VGA cable for my 360 since my TV has a DVI input, i figured i'd put on a VGA>DVI ADAPTER (y'know that ones you get with the videocards)

problem is-my tv only accepts DVI-D and my adapter will not FIT 🙁

Is there an adapter that does like a VGA to DVI-D adapter
(probaly right since its an analog to digital right?)

guess im screwed

Doesn't your TV have component inputs? Or VGA inputs? I don't understand why you'd want to plug the 360 via DVI unless your TV lacked both.

DVI would be pointless because the VGA cable doesn't carry the digital signal anyway. You can get a DVI-I to analog (and VGA to DVI-I adapters do exist) because DVI-I has 4 extra pins that carry the analog signal, but not DVI-D, as that doesn't handle an analog signal and cannot be done unless you use a conversion box which can be pretty expensive (and pointless if your TV has component inputs).

Just use component. Should give you at least 1080i if your TV can support it.

Or buy an X-Box 360 elite and use HDMI 😀

sell your XBOX to some noobs for $400 and throw in a 4 crappy games. Then spend $80 and buy a Elite system. Thats what i am doing 🙂

well it has componet, but i notice that my screen has a bit of a lag in loading in models, and there is no HDMI

Well, that's certainly much less lag than what you'd get from Component>VGA>DVI Conversion Box 😀

And what do you mean by lag in 'loading in models?' 😕
