"There have been several postings over at Xbox-scene complaining of crashing Xbox's on new games, with default settings on single player. Crashes on Xbox Live and on startup have been reported too, and Project Gotham Racing 3 crashes before finishing the first lap. Screenshots and Video are available showing the crash."

Interesting. I wonder if Microsoft rushed it to beat PS3.

There's also a story there saying Microsoft loses $126 per unit.

This is why you never buy a console upon initial release. I said it once I will say it again, care to argue???

Thanks.

At least they should be able to patch it.

Patching should be easy on the ones that have hard drives.

It's impossible to patch the non-hard drive ones, correct?

I guess you could use a USB floppy drive to update the BIOS. XD

But you wanna know something better? They lose $300-$400 on every unit that you don't buy :p

probably just a batch of bad units... ms will now have to allocate replacements for the bad apples.
