Xbox 360 Trade up?

So I got the $100 Core on Amazon on Thanksgiving. Do you think there is a store that would let me trade up for the Premium and pay the $100 difference?

Doubtful. Most stores keep track of the serial numbers they sell to prevent people returning systems that weren't purchased there.

Grab a bunch of accessories off overstock. It's pretty cheap there. I would assume you only need the harddrive to make it a premium. Unless you're finicky about the wireless controller, headset and 1 month of xbox live gold.


Gamestop won't give you full price for a system or a game. I've tried, and they told me I need to open it before they can take it. At that point, they won't even give you full price.

They use that to verify that you're returning the same system, and not using them as a free repair service. Buy new, return old and busted in same box.

If the box is unopened, I'd give you 2:1 they'll return it.
