VGA and component will do 1080p.

If you really wanna get your socks knocked off, buy the old premium and spend the extra money towards the HD-DVD player.

I voted for hdmi, but this man makes a lot of sense. Definitely put the money towards the hd-dvd player instead.

Why do you want the harddrive? Unless you're planning on doing the digital download thing, you'll be hard-pressed to fill up the 20GB drive.

To reinforce this, i've had the 360 since a month after it came out. I've never even come close to filling up the hard drive. The only thing you can put on it is demos and stuff you buy from Microsoft anyway. Just delete the demos occasionally and you'll be fine.

I can't remember, does the xbox 360 hdmi port output audio as well? or is it just video?

I rather go with hdmi port, less cable clutter. if it doesn't support audio out, I'd just used the fiber optic output for sound.

I ended up getting a sweet deal I couldnt pass up on some stuff at Gamestop.

I got used Microsoft VGA cables for $8.00, an HD-DVD drive for $119.99

then I found a used system for $320 + tax with 9 months still left on microsoft warranty.

I hooked it all up, and I really am baffled by how amazing this thing looks!
