So before i go and buy stuff i want to make sure i know how to do this. Has anyone done this before, and if you have could you explain it to me plz?
 
The Xbox 360 can't record tv. It can act as a Media Center extender, if you have a Windows MCE 2005 rollup 2 machine on your home network.
 
k well i have a comp with media center on it and everything. i guess i just dont know who it works. it says that is able to record live tv
 
The windows media center PC with a TV tuner can record live tv and then you can stream it to your 360 to watch on your TV or whatever. But the 360 itself cannot ecord TV, what exactly are you going to buy, a 360?
 
no i have a 360, but before getting the wireless network deal and the remote and stuff.
either way the wirless network will be cool to have for xbox live
 
Well like we said, you record the TV with the media center PC, then you stream it to the xbox over your network(not sure how well TV streams over a wireless network).
 
as stated above you need a pc with a tuner installed... but it is pretty much a seamless integration to media center. It looks and functions just like the actual pc does.
