I'd say that Polamalu being rated a 40 sounds about right for his skill set.

As a Long time Steelers fan, I must OF course ;) disagree with you. Troy flies all over the field, brings the pain, and doesn't miss that many tackles. His speed ain't shabby either. He did miss 3 games last year, (CK nailed it) but his stats were still solid.

It is ironic this question comes up now, about his rating, because He just became the highest paid player in team history, and one of the highest paid DBs in the league.

I think the reason he is worth so much, is because of the intimidation factor, dependability, and necessity for teams to have to scheme him. I'm a black&gold guy going back 30+yrs now, so I might be a little bias. :clock:

EDIT: Oh, I  me some Bucs too. Been to many of their games, most back when they still had the cheesey uniforms and lost all the time.

100% for me.

I believe he's going to be rated a 99ovr in madden 08.

These things I know, that's why I hate him ;). I just want someone to grabs those dredds and pull him backwards when he intercepts a ball.

Larry Johnson did that to him a year or two ago. The refs instinctively threw the flag even though it was perfectly legal. They then attempted to cover it up by saying that LJ "taunted" him after the play even though it was painfully obvious they were reacting to the hair pull.

I'm a Chiefs fan and I remember that game was already a blowout going the Steelers' way. That was just the topping on the cake.
