XBox 360 live trial info

Might be a strange question but my much younger brother in law is visiting and has an XBox 360 arcade without the HD (also couldn't get network connection at home) so he never has been able to use Live before. I bought an HD and provided him with an internet drop but since he'll only be around for a month I don't see the point in getting him a full year. Is there a way to get him a free trial even though he's had it for a long time?

I have a one month card they sent me when they repaired my 360. I have gold until next April anyways, so I figure I would just give this away. I can PM you the code if you want.

You can usually find free trials in games and such. If nothing else, you can buy a code for 1 month for $10 or less (ebay, craigslist, for sale/trade).

Don't have one, haven't had a game system since my PS1 Which I actually still have...

Just to let you know, both mine and my brothers systems had approx 5 free month long gold trials each. All we had to do was make a silver account, and it would offer us free gold trial for a month. I did this on mine, his as well as the one I got back from M$. Just a heads up.

If you make a brand new silver account you automatically get 1 month free. He might have to have a separate gamertag, but if he doesn't care about achievements and all that he shouldn't mind. I know you can make any offline gamertag an online one if he has never connected to live with it before, but I don't know if a free month is still offered that way.

This is limited to 3 per console IIRC.
