xbox 360 LIVE question

I purchased an Xbox 360 from a third party who had LIVE Gold on the hard drive already...

I changed the account name (to the tune of 800 pts.) but this person had like 40 friends who I have no need for and want to remove from the "list of friends"

I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove these "friends"

Is it possible?

Thanks in advance from a Xbox Live NOOB

If you can't figure out how to remove them on the 360 then:
1) Log in to Xbox.com
2) Go to your Gamertag
3) Click "View Friends"
4) Click on Gamertag in your Friends List
5) The profile will pop up with a "Remove from Friend's List" option

If the account had a decent amount of time left on the subscription or DLC then it's definitely worth $10 to just switch gamertags..
