I just bought a used 60GB HDD off of ebay. I've got a 20GB drive currently and I know MS makes a transfer kit. Where can I get a transfer kit, what info is needed to pick it up?

I can't get onto the Xbox website from work...

I think MS offers them for free with the purchase of a new HDD, but I didn't do that.

Yep, you would have had to buy an Elite per the PDF Form. It requires the serial number for your existing 360 plus an Elite 360.

eBay/Craigslist is probably your best bet.

Isn't there some sort of restriction where you can only do one transfer per transfer kit?

I haven't done one myself, but I remember them building in some sort of restriction.

I believe the restriction is that you can only transfer the info from said hard drive once (aka, you can't make several copies of the same hard drive). It's not a copy, it's a data move.

i think kabob is right.

besides, if you could only use it once, why would they be going on ebay for $20?

Just call microsoft and tell them you purchased an elite 360 off amazon a few minutes ago and need a transfer cable to transfer everything from your old hard drive to your new one. I have done it 3 times now and it worked every time.

Yeah. I filled out the PDF and just put "ON ORDER" for the S/N and that was fine

I'll send you mine if it doesn't work out. I think I still have it somewhere in the garage.
