Xbox 360 + GTAIV bundles?

Forgive me if this is the wrong spot for this post. I did a quick search and didn't see any thread about a 360 + GTA4 bundle... so I thought I'd make a post.

Anyone know of any bundles coming out for GTAIV and the 360? Are bundles usually cheaper than purchasing a system and game seperately?

Nothing but rumors at this point. Don't really know anything about costs and what is included for now.

Do bundles usually coincide with the release of a major game? Or do the bundles show up a couple of months after the game has been released?

If a bundle won't be that much cheaper than purchasing a system and the game seperately, I'll just go get the system now and place my pre-order for GTA4 today, hah.

It can be either one. To this point, however, the 360 has not been bundled with a newly released game...in the United States at least.

So I'd be better off just purchasing my system now, and placing the pre-order for GTA IV at my local store, yes?

Also, does the 360 come with the cables I would need to hook it up to my monitor instead of a TV? Or do I have to purchase separate cables? (I've been procrastinating on getting a nice HDTV, but I do have a nice 24" widescreen monitor..... )

probably. But don't be shocked if a price drop or bundle hits in the next couple of weeks. GTA IV is big for the 360 and MS.

The 360 Pro comes with composite and component cables and a HDMI port (Elite includes HDMI cable I believe). If you want to hook the 360 up via VGA cables, you'll have to buy those separately.

Great that's good news!

Thanks for all your help Queasy. I appreciate it. I can see why you're a moderator here. 😉

I'm ending up with a 360 Pro (20gb version), incase anyone was curious. Not a huge console gamer, and I won't be downloading a lot of things to my 360, so no need for the Elite version. Also, I kinda like the white color of the "plain" 360.

Cheers everyone.
