Xbox 360: Ghost Recon Advance Warfare

It looks like they are working hard on the PC version as its just been recently been delayed to may on the PC while the Xbox and Xbox360 are still being released this month.

Hopefully they wont botch the job up like R6 Lockdown which is complete and utter tripe on the PC and in fact is much better on the consoles. For the fact you get cool HUD effects and proper weapon naming and better missions which are more fun. While in the PC you get repetitive missions and completely wrong names for the weapons and stupid AI.
 
that sucks. and here i was thinking that console guys were getting screwed with half ass ports of pc games. but im really excited about this game. im thinking game of the year consideration. Its already the best rated game for 360 and its still unreleased to the public. and to top it off, 360's are starting to be readily avalible in stores as of saturday.

what i would like to see is head to head online multiplayer between console and pc. that would be nice.
 
GRAW has 16 player cooperative mode. Oblivian (although a must have) has....................................................?

200 Hours of gameplay and a far better story.
 
Riiight. Haven't you noticed. They're 2 diff games genres. Role playing games better have good stories. And 200 hours of gameplay compared to GRAW's online multiplayer? Dont even let me get started on that. Did i mention the 16 player coop is online?


Like i said though both games are must haves. As ill be picking up both. Even though i know oblivian wont sell systems like GRAW will.

I'm lucky if I even played GR2 multiplayer on Live for 40-50 hours. No matter what you say, multiplayer gets boring eventually, meanwhile with a game like Oblivion, every hour you're doing something new.
 
Your opinion. As for the rest of the world who would rather not be a hobbit or any other magic the gathering character , multiplayer is fun. And we get to have lives as well.
 
I cant say I am impressed by the graphics. Especially in the 2nd video when the guy is running and is being shot at. Looks like the character is pasted onto the background -- what happened to his shadows? Ummmm....also the bullets look so fake when they are shot and the sound is unrealistic.

I was so excited about PS3 and Xbox360 and now after Xbox360's terrible availability, freezing problems, and lack of good games (nevermind next generation games) and PS3 being delayed my mind is changing. By the time this console goodness is in full swing G80 and R600 will be around just in time for upgrade to Vista. I have a feeling by the time a large portion of good games come out for PS3, G90 and R700 will be out in 07.

I think you're mistaking Oblivion for LOTR 😛
Anyway we all have our tastes. I'd much rather be playing an immersive RPG with my warrior, running around doing whatever I want, than playing an online FPS, but that's just me.

1. Experience a breathtaking game in 720p with softshadows and HDR lighting.
2. Play an epic RPG that has no rivals and is easily the greatest RPG to date.
3. Create a character exactly the way I want it.
4. Travel anywhere in a world 16 sq. miles in size.

2. is the only thing oblivian has on GRAW. Why you ask? because they're diff games. What is wrong with you? You obviously blind if you think oblivian compares with GRAW graphically.

This debate is pointless and offtopic. I just wanted to know what you guys though of the videos. Cameo has better graphics than oblivian. So lets just leave it there.

I would leave it if you would stop arguing! I believe I said "but that's just me" yet you still pursued it.

Anyway, Oblivion's graphics are amazing and if you think GRAW competes with Oblivion in any other way you're blind...... GRAW might look better (slightly) but does it have a streaming world 16 square miles in size? No.

End of discussion.
 
Do your research. This is my thread, you should have not even posted that flaming bs. But yeah do your research. Oblivian's graphics are a joke compared to GRAW's. Its just fact.

If you think that the Oblivion trailer in 720p looks "bad" then I ask you: what looks "good"? I've yet to see a single PC game (except HL2: LC perhaps) that has graphics equal to Oblivion. GRAW has good graphics, but they're similar/slightly better than Oblivion. And dont link us to some non-HD streaming video- look at this:

Watch the Oblivion trailer from there, then tell me it sucks. GRAW is good, but to say it has amazing graphics but then say Oblivion looks like crap shows extreme fanboyism.

Back on topic, GRAW looks great and should provide for a great LIVE experience. I'm looking forward to a new storyline rather than the usual "North Korea" Ghost Recon.
 
PS.... Oblivian is basically a FPS. This game is gonna be decent, but the graphics are not its strong point like you dreamed of. It cant even render hair right.
 
Why are you guys arguing, those games are completely different games and appeal to the same types of gamers or totally different gamers. Which happens to be you 2!

Jeez, GRAW is purely a first/third person small squad tactics game.

TES😱 is a Massive Role playing game.

Do you see anything which contributes to make each of them the same except the view they use?

And anyway, its the person who can realistically tell which one has the better graphics. To me they both look amazing and thats final. Some ppl think otherwise but thats fine by me, stop arguing and just play the game.

It sucks. I just said i have watched it on my 360 720p! its still on my hdd. Go head download it from the marketplace. Do you have a 360? im sure you would have known this if you did.

And guess what. Those are cutscenes in the oblivian trailer. The videos i've linked of GRAW are gameplay. Not only are they pretty, take a closer look. Notice the in game physics?
 
FFS, 1) Its ObliviOn and 2) how the hell is it a first person shooter?

And as for both games, the screenshots I've seen of the PC versions look lousy compared to the 360 versions. I'd like to get the PC version of GRAW as I'd rather use a mouse than a joypad but unless they get it looking up to scratch, I may have to bite the bullet and get the more expensive 360 one.

Well yeah that was my point at first. But i started having fun talking about it. Im getting both games like i said before.

all the battles are in first person. just like morrow wind. now that i think of it the battle system in that one was crap.
