Xbox 360 Getting Disconnected

Got a refurb Xbox yesterday and hooked it up.

My roommate and I were playing MW2 online for a few hours.

There were probably 3 or 4 different times when I got totally disconnected from Live and kicked out back to the dashboard. Each time this happened I would have to reconnect to my profile, etc.

He didn't seem to be getting disconnected though. He uses wireless on his, mine is wired to the router.

What's a good way to troubleshoot this? I wanted to do steady pings to my Xbox, his Xbox, and an IP online to see if my NIC was just resetting or something, but the Xbox apparently doesn't allow pings...

Any ideas?

How could it be a port forwarding issue if my roommate isn't getting disconnected?

Also, we've been using Xbox 360's for years and have never had a problem.

I don't know. But the first thing I would check is to make sure that the router was setup optimally for using the 360.
