Running at 90 inches of 720p goodness (if you look below the image, you'll see my audio receiver there for size comparison)

You can find them on my page here: http://www.halomovienews.com/xbox360.php

PGR3 is damn near photo-real at times. The PGR pics are taken in photo mode. You can pause the game, then arrange the camera however you want.

And this is with a crappy 4 year old digicam.

Trust me, COD2 is not ugly. It looks unbelievable in motion and it never misses a beat. It never drops below 60fps at 1280x720 with AA enabled and everything. I don't even think a 7800 can do that. And hell, I tried the COD2 demo on my PC and the 360 version actually looks better!

These were taken off screen...with an old ****** 2 megapixel camera. You do the math and you'll realize how much better it looks in person :D

And to think these are just LAUNCH games. You know how much better consoles get in the later years...

Nice. I'm picking up Kameo, PGR3, and Perfect Dark Zero to start with. I'll get COD2 later (I'm burned out on WWII shooters right now) and maybe DOA4 since that is a favorite for me and my brother-in-law to play against each other.

I was going to say that if the 360 launch is missing anything other than an RPG it is a good party game but it is looking like the Live! Arcade games will make for nice party games.

I'm waiting til' early next year to grab a 360 since I'm building a new computer instead for right now... since Dead or Alive 4 was delayed, there's very little for me to care about on the system... I'll prolly pick up DOA 4, Ridge Racer 6, and PGR3 early next year with the system... hopefully there won't be too bad of a drought early next year though.

Well, DOA4 was delayed for all of a week or so. The ship date is Dec. 1st.

Not impressed

Maybe you have to be there. As for PGR3 I wouldn't mind seeing some screens while playing. Those look like replay shots which replays shots on any racing game look much better for some reason. Guess it's because it shows different angles of the car.

I'll be waiting till it's hacked and cracked before I buy one myself. That and buy a HDTV as it would be a waste of money buying one to play on a crappy 8 year old 27".

Looks good. Is your blue convergence off a little, though? It's evident in PGR3 shots and the Halo 2 shot.

Your car looks fantastic, but I don't like how everything in the background is blurred. Is that a property of photo-mode, or is it always like that?

Oh must have overlooked it. Either way I would like to see some in game(while playing) shots.

COD2 doesn't impress me all that much, as the texture up close if very blotched (look at the commander guy's left arm). as for PGR3, if that's gameplay, that's hawt:D

LOL...i expected some "not impressed" responses from PC Gamers. Keep telling yourself that, and miss out on some amazing games that the PC will never see.

No such thing as convergence on a DLP.

Anything wrong with the shots is my 4 year old 2 megapixel crappy digicam. ;)

It looks about 10x better in the flesh.

And YES it's gameplay shots in PGR3...the game is just paused so I could take a shot, and I swung around the camera, did some zooming, etc. It's catching action in the moment, hence the motion blur.

The gameplay is spec-fvcking-tacular.

I have a 7800 GTX 512MB and COD 2 looks amazing!
However, Last night I went to BestBuy and they had an Xbox 360 setup with a 42-inch HD plasma; COD 2 looked amazing. I've never seen anything like it. It was so clear and perfect in every way, I even mentioned to the guy that my 7800 GTX didn't look as good (I'm also using an HDTV monitor, 26" Vs 42")

I believe this guy, I've seen it up and close!

PS: I'm thinking of getting an XboX 360, mainly to replace my Media Center Extender, + the gaming...

I don't understand how low end hardware can do graphics that good. I can only assume better lower resolution graphics are the answer.

Its 1280x720 actually, and resolution while an important factor isnt the end all, be all that many PC gamers seem to think it is. Which has better visuals "The Incredibles" DVD at a measly 480p or Quake 4 at 2048x1536?
