I've picked up a wireless Xbox360 controller so I can play Fallout3 and the Batman games on my HTPC. I also have the rechargable battery pack and charging kit.
It seems as though the controller will only charge when connected to the PC. I was hoping to be able to charge the controller using my Anker USB charger, but the light on the charging cable doesn't turn on when it's plugged in this way.
Is do I need to short the data pins to make sure that the controller charges without the PC being on? Or is there something else I can do without actually buying a dedicated charging kit?
