I actually don't give a damn about backwards compatibility - I move onwards and upwards in games, never back, but it's a disappointing list.

No Project Gotham Racing 2.
No Top Spin.
No NHL 2K3 (understandable).
No Rallisport Challenge 2.

Lots of Recent EA games not on that list, i hope they will fix that soon, i wanna play my nhl 06!!!

i agree.I look foward to play Top Spin and Rallisport.PGR2 i dont give a crap because i will buy PGR3 at launch

Where'd you see that at? I looked through Gamepro and Gamepro.com and couldn't find it.

Very likely they're working on the ones that are easy to setup the profiles for first, and more will follow. I'm also betting that 3rd parties will come out with new profiles for games that Microsoft neglects, and you'll be able to import them yourself.

Considering I already own a xbox and they are not making it 100% backwards has made me jump ship and going for a Playstation 3.

NO I am not a fanboy BUT I am out for most of my money. Considering most games out except for the ones directly made for the console itself like Halo the rest of the games that are for cross consoles should look identical since both are high end gaming machines. But the deciding factor was again Xbox 360 is NOT 100 backwards but PS3 is for ps and ps2 games. Plus PS2 games there are alot of them and will come way down in price making sure I will always have something to game be it new or old and not have to worry if it will play or not.

This way for me I have my old xbox to play all of my games and the PS3 to play the new games and all of the older ps2 ones as well.

If xbox was 100% backwards I would of bought it but since it is not and I will still have to keep my old xbox hooked up to play some of them I may as well go ps3.

Actually the PS3 will not be fully backwards compatible either. The PS2 wans't, and I'm almost dead certain that Sony has admitted there is no way they can guarantee full backwards compatibility, so they're not going to.

MS has stated that the entire Xbox library will be patched to be BC.

Even still... BC's ACTUAL importance to people is really a mystery to me.

I had a PS1 when I got my PS2. I never once cared to play last generation's game.
And I can't imagine a single PS2 game that I'm going to want to play, once I get my hands on a PS3 and its games.

The 360 is a little more intriguing because of the graphics improvements for the Xbox games. Seeing Halo 2 in high resolution will be sweet. But I imagine once the novelty quickly wears off, I'll go right back to the newest generation gaming.
