xbox 360 and PC together

Is it possible to play my Xbox 360 on the same monitor I'm using for my computer? I know I can do it if I unplug the HDMI from my computer and put it into my Xbox, but I'm tired of unplugging and plugging in 20 times a day. Could I like "alt tab" from my Xbox to my PC? I just want to be able to use my computer and Xbox 360 at the same time with just one monitor. That way I am able to work at home and play Xbox 360 at the same time, since my work requires a lot of waiting, I'd like something to burn the time

You could get an HDMI switch and connect it between the PC, 360 and the monitor.

Make sure the switch passes along the rights enforcement stuff (HDCP)

Any other connections on your Monitor? Possible to use DVI on your PC?

If not, easiest solution is to just buy a HDMI splitter with a switch. Easy as a press of a button, Mono has them for cheap and they do work.

How about use the VGA cable from the 360? Ive used it before and noticed no difference in quality.

I get my brain all pumped up by reading threads in HT about quantum physics, spacetime, and the speed of light and then this. My brain just made the deflating balloon noise.

Yea I have DVI on my PC. But then how would i get sound? Also my xbox doesnt have VGA unless I get an adapter. But I think the DVI may work. Except the sound

I have my PC connected to my monitor via HDMI, and my 360 connected to the same monitor via DVI. When I want to switch from one to the other, I just hit the 'source' button on my monitor. Since the monitor only has two sources (DVI and HDMI), every button push switches back and forth.

If you don't have two inputs, you'll have to buy a HDMI switch.

Alternatively, you could try to run the 360 output into a TV card, thereby being able to actually ALT+TAB to your TV program (WinTV, Media Center, etc) with the 360 screen displayed, but the quality would probably suck.
