Xbox 360 and flash drives

So I know that the Xbox 360 can save stuff on to USB flash drives. However, what I don't understand is whether 16GB is the max or not? What happens if I insert a 32GB or even a 64GB stick to the Xbox 360? So if I were to get a drive specifically for the Xbox 360, should I get a 16GB just to maximize its space and efficiency?
