Nice! I've been thinking long and hard about getting one lately, but not till the summer when I'll be working full time.

I don't like the idea of not being able to pirate games (yes, I'll admit it)...but i would love to have some hidef gaming to go on my hidef projector. My reg xbox looks amazing on it, I can only imagine how fun 360 would be. I am just not looking forward to paying $60 for games... =/

C'mon you guys....crack the 360 and let us mod it!! :p

I already have a 360, but I would seriously consider purchasing the updated one, primarily for the HDMI and bigger HD. If it came in different colors that would seal the deal for me.

Give me a keyboard / mouse (with solid game support and a UI that has this in mind in games) and a DVI output and you will have sold me on consoles, till then, PC.

360 is already moddable IIRC. You can even play the games on xbox live...for now.

I am not sure if there is a way to save them onto the hard drive, but i know the 360 can be modded to play burned discs.

dont care about the HDMI so much, but a 120GB hard drive would be nice.

god... dammit!

maybe i'll just give my current launch 360 to a family member or something... then again, if the 120gb HD is available seperately, i don't give a hoot about HDMI, so i'll just get the HD.

Looks like I'll be returning my "broken" 360 right around the time that one comes out....

I wouldn't count on it. I have the feeling though that there will be lots of bitching and moaning about this, yet when Nintendo did pretty much the same thing with the DS to DS Lite, the complaining was fairly minimal, go figure. I realize that an improved component (better screen on the DS Lite) isn't the same as adding a new feature (HDMI on x360), but it still leaves those with version 1 wanting to upgrade, but not wanting to pay full price again.

The real question is will they now offer an Ultimate edition for $600, this new revision with built in HD-DVD drive.

I don't think we will ever see a built in HD DVD drive. The transfer rate that MS wants isn't there and HD DVD and Blu-Ray are both still up in the air.

MS should release a Blu-Ray/HD DVD add-on.
