Xbox 20gb hard drive upgrade - how long did it take to get yours?

I signed up for the hard drive upgrade program (for the new xbox experience) but haven't received any emails, even an initial receipt. How long did it take you to get yours?

It's for people without a HDD (Arcade/Core). They can get a refurb 20 gig HDD for $20 or something from MS.

I just want to say that there is no way all the drives they are giving away are refurbs. They probably say they are so people who bought a pro/premium or bought a 20gig outright don't feel jipped.

How are the "refurb" drives that people have been getting? Do they look new, or are the obviously used/refurbished?

Is this obnoxious of me - instead of waiting, should i just buy a hard drive locally and ebay the 20 gigger I receive in the mail? I'm really looking forward to tomorrows NXE launch..

You probably won't get near retail for the HDD on ebay, especially if it's a refurb.

I'm just glad they wised up and made the HDD 60 gigs. 60 is enough for you average gamer to do everything comfortably.

I just got my 120gb last week. My 20gb drive was full and with the update tomorrow and loads of DLC for RB coming I needed the space. Took 2 hours for the data transfer. Figure I could sell my 20gb and transfer cable. But then I have 2 other 360s without drives so I will put the 20gb HD in the one at my GFs house and ebay the cable.

mine was definately a refurb came with all sorts of demos and gamerpics already on it
