I'd really like to see them release a triple 3.0GHz core CPU and modern high end graphics technology for $300. I really don't see it happening.

Exactly. Graphics alone will cost them 500. Add that proc in there and it'll be upwards of 900-1000.

$300 = price 3 years from date of release.

It WILL be released at $300. You are forgetting that Microsoft makes money on game licensing, not the hardware. They will take the initial loss and then reap the rewards when devs choose to develop games for it. They lost money on the xbox console but they made it all back. That's just the way it works.

LOL I just finished watching the MTV special; the launch games look terrible. There's maybe two or three games from maybe 10+ that they showed that even look better than current generation console games. That show was pathetic and sickening, and I'm not just talking about the whole "playa culture" that MTV was trying to tap and the presentation of the console. I'm talking about the games shown. The graphics were sickening!

Gotta love the focus on Perfect Dark Zero...from what I saw, it's no surprise that former Rare employees were mocking the project...

E3 had better have a MUCH better showing game-wise for the 360.

I dunno man. The lighting in GR3 looks very impressive. I'm not a huge fan of bloom but it looked great.
