Xbone family sharing

If this is what x1 family sharing is...

"You could set up a shared library of games, and family members (other users you designated, anywhere in the world) could access that library and play the game for around 15 min to an hour. After that hour, they would be prompted to the Marketplace, where they could purchase the game if they wanted to."

Why does every one think it is such a good thing?

1) It was canned with the online requirements.

2) It was also stated there was no time limit imposed as of the time of cancellation. Now, that came directly from MS after it was canceled, so take it for what you will. They could have said it came with unicorns and printed money as well, but we will never know because troglodytes cried about requiring an online connection.

If it worked as described by MS, it would have been amazing. If it worked, as described from some whiny, "heart broken" developer, yeah not so much. But, I am not inclined to believe either as 100% fact.

I know family sharing went away with always online BUT the latest news is that they may bring it back.
Who/where/when did ms say it was unlimited because the only info I could find that had any details was what I quoted.

I know what an "anonymous employee" said should be taken with a grain of salt. But if it is not unlimited whats the point. Time demos are already available.

It was taken from a tweet. Someone asked if there was a 30min time limit and the MS employee said something like "No that would be silly.".

in last generation of consoles we had this.. it was 'you bought game, anybody who has access to disc can use it"

Dont worry all this stuff will show back up once you buy the console and you cant take it back.. I mean.. its not like MS wont change its mind. they haven't done that before.
"now that we have sold 20 million units, we are turning back on our Anal DRM! suck it!, we only said it wouldn't ship with it"
