XBLA Goldeneye Petition - FWIW

So, the scoop is is that Goldeneye for XBLA is only a couple of months from being done but MS and Nintendo came to an impasse regarding the financial arrangements and the project was shelved.

These online petitions rarely if ever work but it is worth a shot regardless. I hate knowing that a game was almost done but something silly keeps it from seeing the light of day.

Signed. This would seriously be the coolest thing ever, besides releasing Perfect Dark. Although I always liked Goldeneye more.

Would this game support online multiplayer? I would love to see xbox live telling me that 20k people are online playing Goldeneye. Also, could it be nominated for game of the year?

It would more than likely have online multiplayer, as other remade games for live have had that function.

And what do you mean 'could it be nominated for game of the year?' Every site/magazine does their own so you'd really have to be more specific. Technically they could do whatever the hell they wanted to since it's their list but IMO shouldn't count because it's nothing but a port.

I never really got the whole GoldenEye thing. I suppose it'd be neat to have it but I think there's way to many different companies involved at this point and not enough money to go around. I don't think Nintendo would let MS release it unless they could also put it on VC and then Activision would want their slice.

Yeah, we won't see GoldenEye unless it's on both the 360 and Wii.

Never say never when talking about a company with pockets as deep as Microsofts.

Sounds like Nintendo is asking for more cash than MS thinks this game is worth, but if they see there's a large following dying to see this game released, the game might actually make fiscal sense.

And honestly, even if MS doesn't make a single penny directly off the XBLA release, I don't think I'm being naive in saying that an online-multiplayer version of GoldenEye would be enough to persuade at least a few people to buy a 360.
