A week ago I started searching and both Best Buy and Amazon were advertising the release date of the Xbox One Elite bundle as having a release date of December 1st. Figuring their coinciding dates were more than just coincidence, I found a BB support post (on their forums) stating that BB got that info from M$.
So when the holiday deal came out last week with a free game, $50 Off and a $60 credit for their marketplace I was all ready to buy the Xbox One Elitel bundle this morning. As yesterday evening drew to a close I couldn't help but be cynical and now it seems that cynicism was justified.
This morning I woke with the expectations that the Elite bundle was on sale--it is--and the holiday special no longer available--it isn't. So, I have to ask is it 'me' or is this a bait & switch scenario at play? How can one buy something if M4 isn't selling it even though they advertised the special holiday deal for the Elite bundle?
I expect this kind of B&S from Dell and others, but once again I am not disappointed at the marketplace to disappoint. And I am very disappointed. There was no way in hell anyone could have gotten the advertised deal on the Elite bundle.
So, I was resistant to buying a One when it launched, lived without one for ~2 years and now feeling the dupedness that M$ has bestowed on me will only re-solidify my not buying one. Way to go M$!
OK, the a-hole above is no longer upset. His wheel greased by a terrific Microsoft manager that did the right thing. Kudos!
