Well, in case you didn't somehow gather it from the title, this is a milestone for my 1000th post here on the AT Forums. I just wanted to say that I have very much enjoyed my time on AT, especially right here in the OT Forum. I've posted in a few other sections, but most of them have been posted here in OT.
I joined the forums on September 11th of 2005. I joined not for OT, but for the General Hardware thread, where I gained much knowledge and *hopefully* contributed some of my own. Fond memories of General Hardware include my many "New Rig" posts, along with my replies to threads just like it. I've posted some stupid things, although thankfully, I'm not as bad as some other AT members (I won't mention any names). I've gathered much knowledge and interesting information from General Hardware, and hopefully, I will continue to do so.
Then, one fateful day, I stumbled upon the Off-Topic forums. I've read alot of threads in this forum, and replied to many of them. I've learned some new things here as well, but mostly, my IQ has taken a hit. I've made some stupid posts here as well, and as far as I can tell, I'm not alone (which is good). I think every day that I've seen just about every oddball thread that I could see, and yet I'm still surprised. However, I would like to say that I have read many good threads about tragedy, good news, and everything in between that has taken me on an emotional rollercoaster of feelings that has made me feel as though I am part of some huge, dysfunctional family, of which I am glad to be a part of.
So now, as I try to sum up this post, I just want to thank all of you at AT who make the forums a great part of every day and keep me out of trouble (Lord knows what else I would do without AT).
THANKS AT FOR EVERYTHING! ON THE ROAD TO LIFER STATUS!
