I can't believe this. To prove my age they want my credit card information? Or if I don't want to do that they have several alternates, one of which is mailing them a copy of my passport??? Does anybody else find this completely stupid?

I think I was in the 8th grade when I signed up on that website. 1996? It was very geocities-ish. I dont know it was so long ago. :laugh:

Wow, Xanga. My profile's still up, apparently. Joined 6/16/2004, last post 8/20/05. I used my LIvejournal for a lot longer, IIRC. Wow, weird. The Internet before Facebook.

I generated a virtual CC #, and they promise they won't be using it anyways. Well, virtual cc# allows them 1 use and 1 month till expiration so I just monitor my CC bill for 1 month and if nothing shows up, I'm in the clear. Then again you know they won't be using your CC # anyways, but use a virtual # just in case because you never know if they'll get hacked or sell your info out when they die or whatever it is.

Or maybe I used a CC generator cuz all it does is do a checksum. I forgot.

Slight correction to your title: "Xanga is so stupid!!!", it should really be "Idiots complaining about signing onto a useless stupid thing like Xanga are so stupid!".
