X9150 XT or 8600GTS?

Looking for $200 range card.

My choice was
Sapphire ATI Radeon X1950 XT 256MB GDDR3 PCI-E

X1950XT is faster than an 8600GTS.

If DX10 functionality doesnt mean anything to you, X1950XT is the easy choice.

yeah, I am gonna install XP pro, so DX10 doesn't interest me right now.

None of the current crop of video cards (including, of course, G80/R600) will be able to handle DX10 games properly - I've kinda got a confirmation on this issue.. Of course I'm not talking about DX10 games that offers the same visual quality that DX9 games does. The upcoming fall/winter titles are reported to raise the bar once again when it comes to visuals, and to enjoy those titles in its full glory, you will at least need the refreshes of G80/R600.
