Does anyone think it is likely that Microsoft will ditch Windows RT on the Surface and go with a Bay Trail/Cherry trail configuration running full windows 8 for the surface 3? I don't really see why Windows RT even needs to exist with all the low cost x86 machines flooding the market. The only value I see in the Surface 2 is the build and the screen. If ALL one does is run Office 2013 and Browse the web than I can see some value but the non pro surface line still doesn't make sense to me.

No.

But I wouldn't expect to see a Surface 2 replacement until Win X is ready to go or somewhat close to it. But I expect a Surface Pro 4 by the end of March.
