Price drop on the Sapphire X850XT to $189!!!

Damn, I just got the X800GTO^2 for $169. Should I cancel and get this instead?!

Seems like the fans get really loud on these. If the most intensive game I'm playing right now is Civ 4 and WoW, would I be better off with the X800GTO^2 if noise is somewhat of a concern for me?

I got the Sapphire X850XT about 3 weeks ago. Great card for my needs. The fan is loud for about 5 sec when I first power up my PC then it slows down. I play alot of WoW and I can hear my power supply fan over the video card fan even after hours of playing. In fact if it didn't wind up when I first powered on my PC I'd have to check it once in a while to see if it is even working.

Don't they make noise insulation for computers? I'm sure you can put sound dampening material around the back of your computer case or behind it to dampen the noise. ;) I'd take the card with 16 pipes and fast memory unless you just want to save the $20.

I forgot to mention that there is a $20 rebate after the $169 price. It's too late now as newegg ships too fast and I already received it. If I can unlock to 16 pipes, I'll be satisfied, I didn't plan on OCing it in the first place.

Is it the blue one? I was going to get that, but it doesn't have the external power connector and supposedly the older core design. It should unlock but it'll probably overclock poorly.
