Hello folks.
Setting up my new rig and I just ordered an X850XT for a little over $200(cdn) shipped.
However, I didn't see reports on the heat this card produces until now
One review states that with the default heatsink/fan the card goes up to 90C and another says it is around 70-80. Either way, this card can bake a cake (mmm cake)
I read a review or three (more like a dozen) on the Arctic Cooling ATI Silencer 5 Rev. 2. It seems to work well according to the reviews.
I think I am looking at three options.
1 - Crank the fan using ATITools and underclock this card so that it is less like the sun.
2 - Buy the Silencer 5 and hope it lives up the the hype.
3 - Stick with the stock speeds and fan and pray the inside of my case does not turn into a large version of Barbie's easy bake oven.
Any advice?
