I?m in a bind. Do I keep what I have until the next full upgrade cycle? Buy the X850XT at Microcenter at 200.00 and stay with this AGP for one more year? Buy the eVGA MB Combo and spend 360.00 at Monarch Computers?

What would you do?

The only thing I'm worried about is the lack of shader model 3. I have lost coast and the new HDR maps from Source and the visuals are just amazing, and I get playable frames, 30 - 80 fps in source and BF2, no stutter because I have the 2 gigs of ram.. So the X850XT is twice as fast as the 6600gt on 3D mark 05, but will not having HDR be worth it?

Also if I get the X850XT card I break even as I will sell my 6600gt and my old Dell 8200 for 225.00. If I go for the MB combo I will be out approx. 160.00 after shipping and all. If I stay the course I loose nothing and get to keep my Dell 8200 boat anchor...

If you have playable frame rates on your games, I see no reason to upgrade. Stay put and wait for Vista, HDMI, DirectX 10, R600/G80. If I were you that's my decision. Altho if you had what I have (in my sig) you would upgrade fast!
