About a month ago I flashed my retail bba X850 pro agp to the x850xt. I used the modified flashrom and backed up my original bios and flashed with the XT with no errors and everything went well, all 16 pipes were unlocked according to ATItool.
Most games ran perfect but every once in a while I would get a lock up with a garbled screen and have to reset.
I noticed my temps were climbing pretty high so I decided tonight to reflash back to my stock bios until I got a better cooling solution.
I did the reflash and got an error, just numbers nothing specific, I double checked what I had typed and it was correct so I tried again and it took.I then reset to the horror of no video.

I threw in a pci card and have tried flashing the xt, xtpe, and a stock x850 pro bios and with these 3, I at least get a screen at bootup telling me that my power connector is not connected to the card, which it is and I have tried switching connectors.
With my stock bios that I backed up before the original flash I dont even get that screen. I have also tried flashing with the empty.bin bios to erase the entire thing and then reflashing with the others with no luck.

I then tried opening my backup bios with RaBIT bios editor and it gives me a no bios signature error so I opened it in notepad and it looks a lot different than the other bios files .Mine looks like it has every bit of text contained in the flashrom program and then a bunch of code like in the other bios files. It is the correct size also.

Right now I have my pci card and the Radeon installed and hooked up to 2 monitors ,Windows recognizes the Radeon as an unknown video card but it doesnt install generic drivers for it. It takes the catylast drivers fine but in the device manager it says the card cant be started.

Anyone have any Ideas for me? I have spent about three hours trying to bring this back to life. I thought for sure a reflash using a pci card would work.

I have learned my lesson out of this and it will be a costly one if I cant get this going again thats for sure :(

Thanks for any help or ideas although I think I have tried everything at this point
