X800XT oc'ing question

I know this is a tad outdated, but I could use some input here. Been trying to OC my Sapphire X800XT (w/ ATI Tool) but I can hardly get up to 520/540 without artifacts. It's cooled with an AC silencer 4, load temps get to about 61C, so I doubt it's a temperature problem. I've read on a couple of sites that there are gfx bioses that allow for better OCs. Is this true? And if so, where can I get such a bios? Any suggestions as to which bios would give me the best OC?
 
there are bioses that relax latencies so you can oc memory more, and it will help, but i dont know how much. it seems liek you jsut got a bad ocing card.
