Hi guys,

Was dusting out my PC, took out my X800XT to clean it and dropped it accidentally. There's no physical damage I can see, not broken capacitors or anything like that, but now the display is corrupt! In DOS, in Windows, in BIOS! Did i just kill my card or could there be a way to fix it?? I know it's an old card by now but I spent $470 on this baby! She's gotta live!!!

well dropping them usually does kill em....now it's a $470 frisbee

you probably got a crack in the PCB or core.

ya since there hasn't been any price drops on the X1950 series yet, I would opt for the 8800GTS in that price range.

but I think the X1900XT is probably the best value right now.

The X1950XT is around $270 on Newegg.com as well. I'd rather have a 512MB X1900XT though and just overclock it if you can find one reasonably priced.
