x800xl vs. 6800GT

I can get the x800xl brand new for 265 shipped or the 6800gt for 235 but used. i plan on playing some hl2, farcry, d3, etc. I do not plan on upgrading for the next 2 years.

Which card is the better choice?

For the prices you listed, the 6800GT. As long as its still under warranty, as you wont be upgrading for a while.

but seriously i would consider the refurb x800xt on the ati site, if you dont want to do that the id go for the 235$ 6800gt.
i hear the x800xts start shipping on the 12th, so you might want to wait a week and see if that rumors true.

X800XL is cheaper for PCI-e, but 6800GT is cheaper for AGP. I don'tknow if I'd trust a refurb card.

Get the 6800 gt it has shader model 3 ,and with games coming out with support for it. U should be covered.

what form does your Mobo support...PCI-e or AGP....based on those prices i would get the used 6800GT anyday as it is a slightly higher performing part than the XL.
